Winter Menu

Planet Restaurant invites you in this winter to sample our innovative seasonal menu. Join us between May and August and sample delicious dishes that change every month.

Price: R325 per person for four courses, including canapés, tea and coffee.
Expert wine pairings are available for an additional R175

Planet Bar

Cool, chic, yet timelessly elegant, Planet Bar buzzes year round with well-heeled Capetonians sipping sundowner cocktails or pre-dinner champagne.

The bar’s stylish celestial décor, quirky touches and comfy couches create a relaxing ambience. Whether you’re people watching from the terrace in the summer or curling up by the fire with a glass of red in the winter, this is the place to be.

Planet Bar offers an extensive cocktail menu, a wide selection of champagnes and wines, and an assortment of light canapés.

Chef's Table

The Chef’s Table is a custom-designed, interactive culinary experience featuring Mount Nelson’s finest cuisine and wines.

You are seated at an oak table in an alcove of the hotel kitchen, complete with an oversized mirror affording a perfect view of the chefs at work. You are able to watch the chefs prepare specific dishes and to discuss the recipe and the inspiration behind them.

Menus are designed on the day according to Executive Chef Rudi Liebenberg choice of fresh seasonal and local ingredients.

Lunch: Every Friday from noon till 3pm, priced at R500 per person including wine pairings
Maximum four guests per table

Dinner: 6:30pm, priced at R795 per person or R995 including wine pairings
Caters for six to 10 people
