We have just arrived home after spending 11 nights at the Mount Nelson Hotel. The concierge were second to none and couldn't do enough to help even coming out to wave us goodbye. The staff in the Oasis Restaraunt were all very freindly and courteous getting to know our likes and dislikes. “You guys are a ‘Class Act’!” We were not really prepared for the immensity of the physical beauty of Cape Town, the Cape peninsula and its various bays, and the “wine country,” especially Franschhoek. In a lot of ways, San Francisco and Cape Town share the same kind of “Look” and “Feel,” but Cape Town is cleaner, and its adjacent wine country is more scenic than Napa Valley. My husband and I were recently in Cape Town and had the pleasure of staying at the Mount Nelson for two nights March 9 and 10.We had a beautiful room with a view of Table Mountain. I can see now the beauty in staying at the Mount Nelson. The gardens are a wonderful escape in the heart of the city and it is amazing to have the luxury of the beautiful grounds and rolling grass.
