From breakfast to the wee small hours, the team was dedicated and worked very hard to keep everyone fed, watered and happy. The lunches and buffets were excellent so thanks to the behind-the-scenes chefs and the kitchen staff for consistently delivering excellent cuisine.

Thank you to everyone at the Mount Nelson for giving us a wonderful stay. We were particularly pleased with the help that we were given once three of our party had to stay for an extra night. We have just arrived home after spending eleven nights at the Mount Nelson Hotel. The concierge were second to none and couldn't do enough to help, even coming out to wave us goodbye. The staff in the Oasis Restaurant were all very friendly and courteous getting to know our likes and dislikes. Hopefully we will return to Cape Town and if we do, then we know where we will be staying.

“You guys are a ‘Class Act’!” We were not really prepared for the immensity of the physical beauty of Cape Town, the Cape peninsula and its various bays, and the “wine country,” especially Franschhoek. In a lot of ways, San Francisco and Cape Town share the same kind of “Look” and “Feel,” but Cape Town is cleaner, and its adjacent wine country is more scenic than Napa Valley. We felt as though your fine hotel was one of the Great Hotels of the World.
